Utah Caucus Night is March 15th at 7:00 p.m.

From the Utah Republican Party tonight:

Caucus Night is just five weeks away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 7 p.m.!

There are several ways you can learn more about Utah’s Nomination system. Please share these resources with your friends. First, here is a link for a great overview of how the Caucus Convention process works.

The Utah Republican Party has developed a Caucus Awareness program taught by certified Caucus Ambassadors.  These Ambassadors are all across the state and are training voters on the importance of the Caucus system and how to make the most of the Caucus experience.  You can find a list of Caucus Ambassadors in your area and the trainings that are currently scheduled on the events calendar. If you would like to schedule a training, contact Party HQ at 801.533.9777 or Amelia@utgop.org.  You can also find the 2012 Caucus Rules here.

Other groups, organizations and campaigns are also conducting delegate trainings. The Party has a certification process for these groups to ensure that correct Caucus Rules and procedures are being communicated.  We encourage any group who is training delegates to become certified. If you have any question as to whether or not a person, campaign, group, or organization is a certified by the State Party, please contact Party HQ at 801.533.9777. We will also be posting a list certified trainers and groups at www.utgop.org so voters will know they are being trained by a certified trainer.

If you are a group, campaign or organization who would like to become certified, there will be a Certification meeting on Thursday, February 16 at 10 a.m. at Party HQ.

Finally, every Precinct Chair and Caucus Host will be trained via their county party on how to run a successful Caucus.  If you are a Precinct Chair, please attend a meeting in your County to be trained and to pick up the materials you will need to conduct your Caucus meeting.
